If you weren’t at the Success Training this evening, you missed out!  One of the top earners in the industry, Mr. Nate Ridgeway, came from Atlanta, GA to share his wisdom with us.  I think all of us who were there tonight would agree that he gave us so much more than that.  He gave us nuts and bolts training, he gave us passion, he gave us the straight up truth and most importantly, he gave us his heart.  I feel so blessed to be a part of The Freedom Force Team and to have such an amazing leader in Mr. Ridgeway.  I’m also so blessed to have watched my ladies Janelle Skalla and Melissa McGarvey up on stage tonight…they’ve grown into such phenomenal leaders and it was a pleasure to hear them share their wisdom as well.

The following videos encompass the entire evening’s training, which lasted about 4 1/2 hours.  I encourage you to watch the entire training, because there are SO many nuggets of information here that you will absolutely miss out on if you put this off…don’t procrastinate on this one!  Even if you aren’t a part of my team, or even if you’re not a promoter of the Body By Vi 90 Day Challenge by ViSalus Sciences…you owe it to yourself to hear from these top earners, and to soak up everything they share with you like a thirsty sponge.  You won’t be disappointed!  I know I’ll be spending another 4 1/2 hours watching it again, and I was there live!

If you’re anything like me, you could always use a good tip or two to help keep you on your game.  Network Marketing isn’t always easy, but it’s certainly rewarding…IF you know how to do it right!  In this article, I’m going to give you some of my favorite tips for doing just that.

Tip #1: Be committed!  This isn’t a game, it’s your livelihood!  You wouldn’t go to a J.O.B. (journey of the broke) and sit at your desk playing on FaceBook all day would you?  Ok maybe that was a bad example, since playing on FB when you’re in Network Marketing can actually be of great benefit to you.  But you get my point!  Treat it as a career, and it will pay you like a career. In the Resources section of this site (see the tab above), you’ll notice under Training Calls that I list Casey Eberhart as one of the only TWO recommended weekly training calls.  There is a reason for this!  His call tonight was on ways to generate leads for your business.  Here are the notes for this call, but next time, you’ll have to take them yourself by dialing in to his weekly call!  Don’t forget to plug into his website as well, which is www.caseyeberhart.com and his site does have past calls as recordings for your listening pleasure!

Idea #1: Go to a college in your area and take classes in sales.  Sales is the number one profession around, and you’ll be in a class with lots of people who are already looking to improve their skillset, and perhaps even looking for an opportunity.

As you have likely seen in recent news, a series tornados and storms have devastated several communities throughout Alabama, killing nearly 300 people. 15 of those deaths occurred in the city of Tuscaloosa where 200-mph winds swept homes from foundations, leaving an estimated 75,000 without homes in the area, including members and friends of the ViSalus Community.

ViSalus and its Body by Vi Community Challenge is proud to have an opportunity to help those in need by providing our Meal Replacement Vi-Shape shakes to The West Alabama Food Bank. This food bank services over 315,000 residents in 9 affected counties, including the city of Tuscaloosa and many more. Over fifteen percent of the families they assist are living in poverty. Over the last twenty-one years, the they have distributed over 17,000,000 pounds of food to households in need.

In response to this crisis, ViSalus is donating 18,000 kid-sized meals (9,000 adult shake meals) to the West Alabama Food Bank, and is making it easy for anyone to help in any way they can.

All Body by Vi Community Challenge Donations for the month of May, unless otherwise designated by you, will also go to the Alabama Food Bank to support their relief efforts.

How do you back up your data? I was recently at a training event put on by Todd Falcone and he talked extensively about the importance of having your data backed up regularly. If you’ve ever lost your data, you know he was preaching to the choir in some cases (been there, done that).

Yesterday I learned an important lesson. Data backup MUST include your phone. Especially if your phone is your life, like mine was. If you have your entire contact list, your calendar, your notes and other things you can’t live without, BACK THAT UP!

And by “back that up” I don’t mean just sync your phone to your computer and take whatever it brings over. I don’t mean transfer music files back and forth, or download updates to your phone and call it good. I mean make sure that entire thing is backed up in its entirety. ESPECIALLY your calendar!

Your calendar is the life blood of your business. If you’re anything like me, when someone asks for an appointment, or asks if you’re free on a certain date, you pull out your phone before you even think about answering. If you’re anything like me, when you look at the calendar feature on your phone, it’s full of dots and appointment titles and alarms. If you’re anything like me, you can’t do anything without it.

I find myself in that position now. I thought my calendar was syncing and playing nice with my computer. Now that my phone has gone the way of the dodo, I have discovered that’s not the case. LUCKILY, this past week while I was booking myself solid, I took handwritten notes on all of my phone calls (another lesson for another blog) so I have most of my appointment dates written in my trusty notebook. There are, however, still a few that will slip through the cracks unless I can find a way to retrieve my calendar info off of a very dead device.

Imagine how that will make me look when I call those who I can remember I have appointments with…perhaps a bit on the unprofessional side! Don’t let this happen to you…make sure your devices are playing well with each other. Test, test and retest! Back up everything, then back it up again!

Do you collect business cards everywhere you go?  If not, you should!  This is one of the single most important actions you can take in preparing for massive referral generation.

If you already do collect business cards, what do you do with them?  Do you just scan them and add them to a big database somewhere?  Do you pile them in a drawer and forget about them?  Or do you REALLY put them to good use?

Here’s what I personally do with each and every business card I collect.  Now pay attention, because this is a pretty good tip!

I can’t believe I’ve been in business all this time and never created a blog!  I’ve been a blogger for years, but only recently have I started following other network marketers’ business blogs, so it just didn’t cross my mind!  And now HERE WE ARE, about ready to embark on an amazing journey!

I have so many ideas, tips, tricks, success stories and articles to share with you!  This blog will be a work in progress for a short time while I iron out the wrinkles and fine tune the content.  You can look forward to some extremely exciting information coming your way, though, and I can’t wait to meet you!
